Membership Cards for a Spanish NGO
Identification badges for volunteers on humanitarian missions
Clear and precise identification of members of a humanitarian organization is an important element during a mission in a region that has been hit by a natural disaster. The volunteers’ badges have to be very durable so that they do not deteriorate when exposed to dust, humidity, and sunlight.
AGCS is a non-governmental organization which is part of the Directorate General of the Civil Guard in Spain. Created in 2014 by members of the Corps in active service, the NGO provides humanitarian aid in countries affected by major disasters.
Durable plastic membership cards thanks to the Badgy printer
In 2015, the organization became more structured and acquired the Evolis Badgy plastic card printer to print customized badges for its 150 members.
“We chose a plastic card printer because the cardboard badges didn’t look durable enough to us,” explains José Cabrera, President.
Since purchasing the printer, 190 badges have been printed. The majority have been customized thanks to the customization software Evolis Badge Studio included in the Badgy solution. The badges are printed in color with the organization’s logo and the volunteer’s name.
Fast and easy membership card customization
Despite the very varied weather conditions such as snow at 4000 m altitude in Nepal or very high humidity in places like the Philippines, the badges have never deteriorated. “They still look brand new!” says José Cabrera happily.
We are very satisfied with the Badgy and the technical service from Evolis. For an NGO which prints its membership cards itself, it is important to have a machine that functions without fail with a fast and efficient after-sales service, as our badges are often printed and sent in a short period of time.
