ESPL supports almost 1,000 students each year to attain a BTS diploma, or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in management or business studies. It is part of a consortium of four schools and includes the university campus of the city of Angers.
Flexibility and independence for issuing student cards
The Ecole Supérieure des Pays de Loire in Angers (France) has had the Badgy desktop plastic card printer for several years, allowing it to create and print more than 1,000 student cards each year. In 2017, the Head of Student Support, Elsa Barrault, decided to update the printer and purchased the Badgy200 model.
Fast and flexible printing of student cards
Elsa Barrault can now create and print new cards for the start of term each year in just a few minutes. She can also issue new cards throughout the year:
- lost cards
- stolen cards
- cards that have to be updated due to a change of student status.
Elsa Barrault particularly likes the flexibility that the Badgy200 printer gives her to do all this.
The database function saves time
The Badgy200 solution includes card creation software, which allows a database to be imported.
How does it work?
- Create the card in the software.
- Configure the data for each student. Automatic update.
- Print cards.
The entire batch of cards can be created with just a few clicks. “The database feature is a real time saver. The cards are produced quickly and easily”, explains Elsa Barrault.
A different card template for each school
The cards are printed in color either single or double-sided following a different style guide for each of the four schools in the consortium. They include:
- the logo
- the school’s address
- the director’s name
- the director’s signature
- the name and photo of the student
- the start and end dates,
Before opting for the Badgy solution, ESPL used to issue student cards on cardboard, enter the student data by hand, stick the photos on, then add a plastic cover for greater durability.
“Now we save a lot of time”, says Elsa Barrault.
It’s a practical and economical solution, adapted to our constraints, which are responsiveness and flexibility. I also like the infinite possibilities in terms of graphic design and templates.
