Lombard International Assurance specializes in asset management based on life insurance. Based in Luxembourg with eight foreign subsidiaries, the group has 400 employees. Lombard International Assurance works in partnership with private banks and asset management consultants. For its numerous internal and external events, its Corporate Event Specialist purchased the Evolis Badgy plastic card printer.
Last-minute registrations or changes often forced the Lombard International Assurance team to create paper badges at the event venue. In 2015, Sébastien Hoeltgen, the Corporate Event Specialist, was searching online for a portable solution and came across the Badgy system.
Purchased from an online store in 2015, the Badgy200 plastic card printer enables the events team to print personalized ID badges both beforehand and at the venue in order to improve identification and control the access of participants at events. Today, Sébastien Hoeltgen travels all across Europe with the Badgy printer in his luggage.
Previously, the badges were made from cardboard with a conventional laser printer. Today, the events team prints 1000 badges per year with the Badgy printer. The badges include graphic customization without a photo. They are printed single-sided with the name of the person and the company, as well as the Lombard International Assurance logo.
We chose an approach which is both attractive and ecological, as plastic badges are much easier to reuse than paper ones. They are also higher quality, which is important for our brand image.
